No on-site server. The cloud is the brain — the small mini-PC just bridges your local USB hardware. Tablets and the mini-PC don't even need to be on the same internet connection — they coordinate through the cloud. Phones on cellular still work when the venue Wi-Fi flakes out.

ROUTING & RESILIENCE

[A] STATION ROUTING

Items route to the right station automatically

Tag a menu item with station kitchen or bar — orders route to that station's printer or KDS. No tablet has to "know" which printer to call.

[B] FALLBACK CHAIN

Primary printer down? Auto-failover.

Each printer has a fallback. If the kitchen printer goes offline, tickets reroute to the host-side printer with a "KITCHEN DOWN" banner. Operators see the alert; orders never get lost.

[C] OFFLINE TABLETS

Tablets cache and replay

Lost internet? The app keeps taking orders from a local cache. When connection returns, queued actions replay against the server in order.

[D] OFFLINE HUB

Hub queues print jobs locally

If the Hub Agent loses its WebSocket, print jobs queue in the cloud. When the agent reconnects, the queue drains in order. No orphan tickets.

[E] MULTI-HUB

Run multiple hubs per venue

Big restaurant with a back patio on a separate WAN? Run two hubs. Server picks the right one per device. Failover between them works too.

[F] AUDIT TRAIL

Every print job logged

Every print, drawer-kick, and scanner read is logged with timestamp, user, device, and exit code. Disputes about voids and comps end fast.
